This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds, returns, and cancellations for all transactions made through our website, in-person events, and other services.

Donations

All donations made to the United Church of Religious Science are considered charitable contributions and are generally non-refundable. However, we understand that errors may occur.

Refund Eligibility for Donations

• Duplicate donations made in error
• Incorrect donation amounts due to technical issues
• Unauthorized transactions (subject to verification)

Event Registrations & Program Fees

We offer a variety of spiritual programs, workshops, classes, and events. Refund policies vary depending on the type of event and timing of the cancellation.

Cancellation by Participant

• More than 14 days before the event: Full refund minus a 10% administrative fee
• 7 to 14 days before the event: 50% refund
• Less than 7 days before the event: No refund, but credit may be applied to a future event
• No-show: No refund or credit

Cancellation by the Church

If we cancel an event for any reason, you will receive a full refund of all fees paid. We will make every effort to notify registered participants as soon as possible.

Transfer of Registration

You may transfer your registration to another person at no additional cost. Please notify us at least 48 hours before the event with the new participant's information.

Classes & Courses

Our spiritual education classes and courses require advance registration and payment.

Refund Terms

• Before the first class: Full refund minus a $25 administrative fee
• After the first class: 75% refund
• After the second class: 50% refund
• After the third class: No refund

Course Materials

If course materials (books, workbooks, digital resources) have been distributed, the cost of materials will be deducted from any refund amount. Digital materials that have been accessed are non-refundable.

Physical Products

We offer spiritual books, merchandise, and other physical products through our website and at our location.

Return Eligibility

• Items must be returned within 30 days of purchase
• Items must be unused, unopened, and in original packaging
• Proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation) is required
• Sale items and digital products are final sale

Refund Process

• Refunds will be issued to the original payment method
• Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the item was defective or incorrect
• Please allow 5-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account

Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact us within 7 days of receipt. We will arrange for a replacement or full refund, including shipping costs.

Digital Products & Subscriptions

Digital products include e-books, audio recordings, video content, and online course materials.

Digital Product Refunds

• Due to the nature of digital products, all sales are final once the content has been accessed or downloaded
• If you experience technical issues preventing access, we will work to resolve the problem or provide a refund
• Refund requests for unaccessed digital products may be considered within 7 days of purchase

Subscriptions

• Monthly subscriptions may be cancelled at any time
• Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period
• No partial refunds for unused portions of the subscription period
• Annual subscriptions cancelled within 30 days of purchase may be eligible for a prorated refund

Spiritual Counseling & Services

Individual spiritual counseling sessions and practitioner services are available by appointment.

Cancellation Policy

• More than 24 hours notice: Full refund or reschedule at no charge
• Less than 24 hours notice: 50% refund
• No-show: No refund

Package Sessions

If you purchase a package of multiple sessions, unused sessions may be refunded on a prorated basis minus a 10% administrative fee. Sessions must be used within 12 months of purchase.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

• Email us at admin@unitedchurchofreligiousscience.sbs with the subject line "Refund Request"
• Include your full name, order number, date of purchase, and reason for the refund
• For physical product returns, we will provide a return shipping address
• Allow 3-5 business days for us to review and process your request

Exceptions & Special Circumstances

We understand that exceptional circumstances may arise. We review refund requests on a case-by-case basis and may grant exceptions to this policy at our discretion.

Situations that may warrant special consideration include:

• Medical emergencies with documentation
• Family emergencies or bereavement
• Significant technical failures on our part
• Other extenuating circumstances

For transactions made before the effective date of any changes, the policy in effect at the time of purchase will apply.
